It is used in Indian food, Cape Malay, East African spice blends, Middle Eastern dishes, European and many more cuisines and dishes from around the world. Used in many sweet dishes such as kulfi, cardamom ice-cream, milk puddings, desserts, chai and coffee.
Medicinal uses: believed to aid digestion.
